I was born in Kadıköy, Istanbul, in 1995.
During high school, I spent a year in Spain through the AFS intercultural exchange program, living and studying in Fuensanta de Martos, a small town in the province of Jaén. That experience shaped my worldview and sparked a lifelong passion for travel, cultures, and human connections.
As a backpacker, I traveled extensively using hitchhiking, Interrail passes, camping, and other independent travel methods. These journeys allowed me to build friendships across dozens of countries long before tourism became my profession.
After graduating from Private Çevre High School, where I also served as student body president, I began pursuing a career in tourism. My first job was in a carpet shop in Sultanahmet, where I started by serving tea and assisting visitors while learning the industry from the ground up.
Throughout university, I worked for various tourism companies in Türkiye and abroad. I also completed a semester at Bahçeşehir University’s Berlin Campus.
My passion for storytelling led me into travel journalism. I started as a guest writer for Hürriyet Travel and later became an editor at OGGUSTO.
During my final university years, I served as Event Manager for Gastromasa, Türkiye’s leading gastronomy event, for two consecutive years.
Shortly before graduation, I paused my studies to join the founding team of Acun Medya Mexico, contributing to the company’s international expansion.
After returning to Türkiye, I became a partner at Rena Travel, the company behind the tours of renowned travel expert Saffet Emre Tonguç.
Today, my work lies at the intersection of travel, culture, hospitality, storytelling, and entrepreneurship.
I got married in 2023. I enjoy sailing, discovering new cultures, and meeting people from different backgrounds. Spain and Mexico hold a special place in my heart, yet few feelings compare to returning home to Istanbul after a journey.
I am currently learning Italian and hope to dedicate more time to mastering the kanun, a traditional Middle Eastern string instrument.
I live in Istanbul, but I have always felt most at home on the road.
